Top Film & Television Apps on iOS in UAE for Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the film and television app market on iOS in the United Arab Emirates saw varied performance among the leading applications. Here's a closer look at the top five apps based on their weekly revenue, downloads, and active user trends, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Netflix experienced a fluctuating revenue trend, starting at around $31K in early July and peaking at approximately $34K by the end of September. Downloads initially hovered around 9.6K but saw a decline to about 7.7K towards the end of the quarter. The app maintained a strong user base with active users ranging from 140K in early July to 122K by the end of September.

Disney+ showed a notable increase in revenue, beginning at $93K and climbing to $127K by the end of the quarter. Downloads, however, showed a slight downward trend, starting from 6.1K and ending at 5.4K. The app's active user count grew steadily from 78K to 82K, demonstrating user engagement.

Amazon Prime Video had a relatively stable revenue stream with figures ranging from $16K to $18K throughout the quarter. Downloads decreased from 7.7K initially to 3.8K by the end of September. Active users remained consistent, starting at 39K and ending at 37K.

ShortMax - Watch Dramas & Show saw its revenue peak at $14K in early August, before stabilizing around $7K towards the end of the quarter. Downloads mirrored this trend, with a high of 8.1K in early August and a low of 1.6K by the end of September. Active users peaked at 15K in mid-August and settled at around 9K by quarter-end.

OSN+ started with a weekly revenue of about $51K and ended the quarter at nearly $70K. Downloads showed a downward trend from 4.9K to 3.1K. Active users remained stable, with numbers fluctuating slightly around 19K throughout the quarter.
